Does the enchant carry up when you upgrade karma earrings, e.g. from lvl 5 to lvl 6 will the +x remain?  

I'm assuming not, so get the highest desired level and then enchant?  If you blow them you can get a new pair?

Thanks Kern, I think I must have opened some stockings right after xmas dungeon and gotten confused.  Just wanted to make sure the moonbow stocking drop wasn't bugged as I never saw one drop nor saw any for sale during the event.

I'm wondering if the golden stocking might be bugged:

I got a Saell's Ring drop but I can't find it anywhere in the drops from the stockings or the event associated mobs, was not doing the moonbow quest on my character.

Not that I know of, belts is pretty straightforward: old is low, regular is mid, shining is high.

All rings are either low or mid except Thebes I think.

For necklaces I just look at the items on test.
