Diamond Golem
- I haven't played in 3 months for health problems, when I finally got back, what I saw, that we have a camper as always in the Diamond Golem. Boss camping yes, boss camping no... blah blah, my suggestion is to make Diamond Golem to spawn all around the floor.
Honestly the people knows very accurate the spawn time (that is something that I can't understand how can the people has that precision) at least put a little hard or give to all the oportunity to kill that mob making him spawn around the floor.

if you know the server reset time, it's easy to figure out the boss spawn timers. you just got to know which cycle they are in

I've been on the server for 3 weeks or so now and I've only ever seen one boss. It's sort of a problem. Spawn rates should probably be raised for a lot of them, or at least more randomized.

How could doing a random timer possibly be hard to balance?
If a boss spawns less than x where x is the amount of spawns you want in a day, run the following:
When boss has spawned, generate a random number between 1 and 24.
Boss spawns that many hours later.

I'm not gonna pretend to know anything about it, since even under the best circumstances, I don't kill a lot of bosses, but it really feels like a few individuals have them on lockdown. It should be changed so that the majority of bosses spawn hourly, with some of the higher level ones (Varlok, Court Justices, etc.) spawning every few hours, and dragons and such once a day. And really, what's upping the frequencies going to harm? Most of the best stuff these bosses drop is insanely rare.

This is literally how the boss spawns work already..
I should also note, that there are more bosses on this server than a few people could possibly have on lock down. Some poeople farm certain bosses to obtain the items.. thats what lineage is about. There are different groups of people farming seperate bosses. The people complaining aren't even TRYING to go kill a lich, or grim.. or whaever... There are bosses that go entire cycles without being killed.. there is literally 0 excuse for not hunting and getting a boss other than you dont put in the effort.
You can hunt with a boss with a friend, fight over bosses, or simply steal a boss right from under someone if your solo by being crafty. I've seen 'boss hunters' sit AFK on a zone while the boss they were hunting was up for 30 minutes.. I've seen people randomly check a boss to have it just spawn under them.. if you're not trying.. you won't get one.
My point is, changing the boss schedule ... especially to every hour.. won't help you suddenly get more bosses if you're not already fighting for the bosses... all it will do is enable the ones that ARE putting in the effort to farm them get 10x more bosses than they were before because they can still camp that boss.. but now with much much more reward.

I agree with GM on this. Finding/Checking bosses every few hours running around the map for diff. bosses is part of the fun of Lineage, and it sometime lead to PVP fun. If you put in effort into it, you can kill few bosses a day. No boss is just going to stand there for you.
Changing bosses schudule sound like a very bad idea. it affect many thing such as item drop rate, the mops that spawn with boss, and mops that is summon by the boss, PVP, town tax rate, siege, items that are not dropped by boss would be affected also (who want to use 2hpk if everyone is easy farming FID) and etc. Also, I believe Lineage boss respawn is coded with time string by alot, it is not a easy work for GM to change it too.
Yes, I would like to kill every diamon golem for destory and CB every hour too. Please change it for noobie like us, GM!!!!

Sounds like it's fine as it is if this is the case. I'm just skeptical, because I've never seen the bosses that spawn in some of the areas I frequent. And let's be honest, if the court justices spawned once every 5 minutes, I still don't think most people would have fidelity weapons.

Just make all bosses more random. Yes a few players can cover all major bosses. With use of 2 clients and multi accounts it's not hard to do. I'm sure the GM knows this also. I also have not once seen a boss. I don't play to camp . Just change so bosses don't spawn at regular times might help some. Your always going to have campers 24/7.

We are getting out of the point.
I'm not asking about schedule, I think it's totally ok, more spawn bosses could crack the market or make few people incredibly rich.
The question is about diamond golem / destroy drop, Diamond Golem spawns around 4 times a day if my maths are not broken, the problem is he spawns always in the same spot, and few people knows very accurate the timer (I have a bad feeling if they use some radar or something but as far as I know that doesn't exist).
This make the hardcore players easy for them to put a invis/camper character with a 2nd client opened or a 2nd Pc in diamond golem and wait until spawns, while they do other thinks with his main character.
Obviously we can do the same, but in fact they have advantadge, because if you play 12-16 hours a day you can lost few time kicking other campers and your in game experience gonna be so much affected.
But if you have a real life outside lineage, and your play time is around 3 hours a day, 5-8 on weekends, you can't compete, and if you try to do the same you are going to get more perjudicate because the time you loss vs the other player affects you more.
That's why I think that a boss that drop a major item like destroy, at least should be a little hard of camping, adding just random spawn around the full floor, like TOI bosses.
Then if you want to camp the boss you can do it, but you need focus on that and go around the floor hunting/running, then if you want to just go to check you can go and go around the floor and go out.
That's my opinion, but if you want to make all people interested in the game, all people new or pro players, needs know they have a chance a oportunity to get something, even that chance it's a 0.000004, because if people see they don't have a chance because some players get all the odds doing the same over and over, people get's tired and leave the game.

I am not totally sure how diamon golem respawn, cuz I never hunt it before.
However, I don't think your example is strong enough.
The logic does not really sound right when you say people who spend less time on the game should be able to complete with people who spend more time on the game?
Unless you are playing some P2W game, otherwise, you tell me what game allow less active player dominating very active player?
Also, GM comments above already said, "some boss camper does not even notice the boss is respawn already, they just afk char there."
One point I agree with you is that the boss that drop a incredible important item should not be easy, but isn't that also the reason we need to invest time to get it?

Diamond Golem spawns, then attack with Destroy. If you have a 2nd PC near with audio on you will know in a second that he is up.
He spawns always in a closed room big as 2 giran shops.
How they camp: They know the aprox spawn time, then they put a AFK character in coi, usually a mage. Until Diamond Spawns, then Diamond kills the camper they come and kill.
They check the camper sometimes, if you come and wait they come with their main and some bp friends and kick you. If you put a camper, they kill it too, they lure mobs, mana drain/para or something like that, venz and mobs kill you.
So you have 3 options: 1: Go and go and again while they come to kick you, and lose your playtime, they too, but remember they have 10 more hours to play a day. 2: Or just go sometimes to get the lucky moment when DG spawns, the DG kill the afk and you have less than a 1 minute to try to kill while they come. Hard to get the lucky moment because if they are there they have more options to get the lucky moment. Very fair.
Option 3: Assume that there is something wrong, come to Forum, open a reasonable thread and start a discussion about put a little bit harder the camping on one of the bosses with a "major" drop.
Specially when Kurtz has been changed the spawn place to avoid campers and we have this problem with 2 bosses: Diamond Golem and Varlok.
The problem on Varlok is the same, the people goes, put a camper with the inverse Karma and left in Invis. And "voila" you just need to wait.
Lineage is about this?
It's not about make hunts or Dungeon Raids?

There is nothing inherently wrong with learning boss timers and camping. Everyone has the ability to do this. Obviously those with more time to play are going to get more bosses, and that's how Lineage is supposed to work. When we start talking about making spawns more random, there are pros and cons. Mostly cons. For starters, campers are still going to get most of the campable spawns regardless. It is also overly punitive to L4 hunters who rely on a schedule in order to have a semblance of a shot at fid mats, something that is already borderline impossible on a highly populated server.
