Ideas on improving what live devs did not have the wisdom to
For people who play less than a few hours a day, logging into lin means pretty much only one thing: go grind GP to try to keep up with levels. You can go play somewhere else, but you know you're just wasting your time until you've exhausted the 3 hours. The purpose of GP was to give people a kind of exp boost, a way to earn exp faster. 3 hours of GP makes sense for ppl who play 5+ hours a day. A part of your day gets the great exp from gp then you can move on to actually play some of the nice zones and diversity this game has to offer, depending what you trying to farm. Another big dynamic with GP being 3 hours is that people like to go in there and fuck with other players during their grind. They dont really mind losing half an hour to pk ppl while they are also grinding. But if GP was reduced to 30 mins a day with the mob exp there increased to make up for the time reduction, no one would waste even 1 minute to fight ppl who just want to play in damn peace, and the players who dont play much would get to experience the same game as everyone else.
Its not just GP. There is also the fact that a majority of the maps in lin are unused, 100% of the time. My friend and I have talked about this for at least a decade. The game would benefit so much from a complete rebalance of time spent per reward (exp , wealth) ratio. At least for the zones that have been found to be players favorites since inception. On live, there was people everywhere, but mostly because 200+ players took all the damn good spots in the game. One of the greatest shames is that theres no reason for anyone to hang on FI. Mob density too low mostly, and the previously mentioned GP situation, also crappy drops.
Perhaps you guys have the right way of thinking to finally do something about this... thx for reading

Eliminate GP all together... Dbl spawn in most places elsewhere.
