Update: Server Updates [Oct-7th]
First, we are no longer going to be putting announcements in Discord. Our primary source of announcements will be here, on our Forums. Discord is extremely difficult to manage and very distracting. Second, we've been making a lot of performance adjustments and improvements. We've had 100+ people from the very start, something I have not seen to be common with US private servers; we were not expecting this, and have been making serious improvements on the fly. Please bare with us as the continued improvements, and adjustments are made. The lag spikes should be getting less and performance increasing, and will continue to increase as we elminate more and more of the memory leaks from the old code base.
The following changes were submitted to the test server tonight, on October 7th:
- Fixed clearing hometown bugging your character and causing a rollback.
- Fixed Clan Auction houses - they now work properly, and stay after reboots.
- Fixed In-Game mail.
- Added permanent GP Timer that persists through reboots.
- Performance changes to startup parameters and ongoing performance tweaks.
- Fixed Pet Match Manager - you can now exchanges the medals for the pet match gift (aka "new" Surprise Box).
- Fixed several bugs with NPCs ability to use skills, which was making some bosses to appear significantly weaker than they should. We will be restesting the TOI bosses that were buffed to ensure they are not too OP now (Lich, Grim, Cougar).
- Cerenis should no longer heal you.
- Made some improvements to mobs retargetting when they shouldnt.
- Fixed a bug that was allowing people to spawn unlimited elementals. This was supposed to be fixed, but got disabled in updating/testing. It now functions as intended, and contributed to the lag spikes.
- Fixed timezone issue on the server, GP will now reset at 6AM EST everyday.
The following changes were submitted to the test server tonight, on October 4th:
- Fixed /Pledge.
- Added last PVP Killer/Victim to front page.
- Pets were causing 'lag spikes' due to a multi-threading bug. This would cause players to get locked up by multiple mobs/threads accessing petInstances, and players were unable to do anything... and sometimes couldn't see the mobs.. this should be fixed now (Thanks Kendoon for the huge assist in tracking this one down).
- Some major performance increases.
- Upgraded server to 2 CPUs, 4GB RAM in preparation for more population growth.
- Fixed Elemental Falldown GIVING elemental resist.
- Decreased AB time going in/up stairs to 1 second from 3 seconds.
- Removed the requirement for Inn Keys (you can just walk into Inns now.. easier).
- More junk drop cleanup.

The Elemental spawn bug was abused on other servers by people who are currently playing here.

The people intentionally bugging an npc to abuse the elemental exp exploit should be banned/punished.
This caused the multiple resets by making the server so laggy it's unplayable, leading to the multiple gp time resets.
