Update: Server Updates [Oct-18th]
Fairly decent sized update here, with some wide ranging impacts. Please keep us updated of any potential issues.
- Made some changes to teleportation, removed a weird delay (potential contributor to the venz bug). This is a first step in eliminating it, and should increase performance significantly. Please let us know if there are any negative impacts from this. It's been on test server for a few days being tested. The old version would delay the teleport by .5-1 seconds before doing the animation, which gave ample time to be killed 'while in teleport lock'. This version teleports you, THEN does the animation with no delay. It might take some getting used to, and will likely still be tweaked but was meant as an improvement to avoiding the 'venz bug'.
- Increased pet inventory size to 20 lines of items (was set to the default of 8). Items will now go to the owner when the pets are full, and maintain hate. This means, if your a cougar mage and your cougar does the most damage it will remain in the drop shares properly, and only give items to the owner if its inventory is full, and the master is within the loot range. The only time items will drop to the ground now is if the pets are full, and the master is full and/or out of loot range. This is intended to allow normal pet functionality, plus the convenience of auto-loot.
- Improved heuristics and logging for Pledge storage, giving items, dropping items, etc.
- Due to Magic Level changes in this client, spells were getting one extra dice roll for probabilities. This has been corrected, and will represent a slight decrease in the ability to cancel someone with high MR. However, cancel proof does not exist in Lineage; as mages get more SP, their dice rolls increase and targets MR requirements increase. This is meant to bring the probability more in line with how it was intended, making it more difficult to cancel someone with > 140-150MR.
- Fixed a privately reported (new!) exploit with candles, and validated it wasn't being abused.
- Slightly increased the range of Patience, Phantasm, Concentration, and Insight to match the client and avoid a bug where the spell is casted, and fails resulting in lost mp and a cast delay.
- Corrected Shock Stun to be 1-4 seconds. For some reason, it wasn't
- Thunder Grab now has a minimum of 1 seconds as well.
- You can no longer random teleport in Ice Caves.
- Spamming teleport can no longer be abused on maps where you cant random teleport.
- Fixed a fringe case where random tele is likely causing your character to get stuck.
- Added TOI Teleport Scroll, 91F to Lich.
- Added visible chat messages to indicate when counter magic has successfully blocked a spell.
- Made the PVP Death messages a different color, to make them more noticeable.
- Fixed selling to Private Shops, removing the error caused by selling items. This should be fully functional now.
