So far, to summarize:
- Add area timer and be kicked out. Darkjustice. CONS: new implementation or adaptation of existing code. PROs applicable to small areas as Varlok, DG, Ice Queen.
- Expand Spawn area. Runecaster. CONS: if area is small, it is almost unnoticeable: Varlok, Ice Queen. PROs: not many, spawn area was a XML file. Easy to adapt.
- Stronger bosses. Ignacius. CONS: unfair for people that wants to solo. PROs: all solo rmters are gone. At least they should teamwork and split dividends.
- Modify Drop List. Gilderoy. CONS: unfair because is not the start of server. They will camp all those. More ultra-rare drops pumped in server. PROs: zip.
- AFK timer. Gilderoy. CONS: like Zhin said, you can bot that with cooking, scrolls, whatever. PROS: zip.
- Spawn cycles completely random. Omni. CONS: the camping will stay. PROs: easy to implement, same XML file as area..
- Boss Island events. Omni. CONS: more rare items pumped in, detriment of server durability. PROs: more people happy.
- One change I think that may help is shortening boss cycle timers so that campers can't get multiple bosses in the same window. Shitcoins. CONS: none. PROS: this one is good. Boss overlapping with 2h20m+ cycle makes easy life for campers. Overlapping with shorter spawn cycle would make camper harder... Well, they should pay attention to more. This idea needs consideration.
- One client open. Ignacius. CONS: people with more computers, campers already had. I remember Lich, IRIS, etc at Kurtz (same player btw). PROS: Easy to implement. Was already done.

Good afternoon to all! I'm glad this post seems constructive, more after read the list of pros and cons resumed by Darkjustice.
First, I don't have a war against solo players, I love to play solo and I love to kill bosses too. As I said I usually check bosses and kill few of them in every play session. But I'm looking further, I'm trying to give ideas to improve the quality of the server and the quality of the gameplay, even if that puts a bit harder in a first moment, and can generate few tensions between the eternal fight solo vs party play. That's the reason because I'm trying to be constructive and give a lot of arguments to defend my ideas, and I know that sometimes the suggestion can be crazy or rare *cough cough suggestion I made about Lineage arena cough cough :-P * but this thread is important because many people is seeing clearly that we have a problem with the "AFK-Boss camping".
To Runecaster:
Your idea of make the area of boss spawning larger sounds good, but it's not perfect some bosses like ice demon kicks you back to the start when they spawn, then the afk campers use this to know the boss has spawned, when they hear the "teleport" they look the screen of the campercharacter and: Tadaaaaa! Time to run!
The second problem I see is they can put a macro/bot in some bosses to just make the caracter walk around the place until the boss kills them. (This should be hard for them, and easy to track for the GM but is more job to the GM).
To Omni:
I don't want all the bosses buffed and I don't want all of them dropping ultimate drops. As I said before I don't want to ruin the "Solo" play, I just want some puctual adjustments in some bosses to reduce/eliminate the AFK camping and to increase the fun of the game to others.
I suggested to improve the next bosses:
Bapho/Beleth -> Just a bit to avoid campers. But someone suggested me they not drop ultimate stuff and I assumed that it's ok if you not improve them, even if I think they need a bit of revamp. But you get your solo play ruined if they get a revamp? No because the drops they drop you can get in soe farming them.
Ice Demon/Demon -> Here I suggested a High HP Regen. They can Drop Demon staff (+5 sp) so the item it's great to have a very easy boss to kill. Again the solo play don't get ruined, you want to kill Demons? You have a lot of in soe. You want the Demon Staff? Go soe to farm.
Ice Queen -> I suggested to revamp this just for common sense. She is the boss of the second floor. If the Ice Demon is revamped to need a party, has sense that Ice Queen get revamped too, to make a nice raid of 2 bosses. Again I don't think the solo play gets ruined, even if we add destroy to she as I suggested, you still can get Destroy from Grim Reaper, that is soloable.
Diamond Golem -> I suggested to revamp this for obvious reasons, he can drop the best in game spell. And now is a joke, he spawns in a closed area, where the people left a camper until the boss spawns. Again the solo play not get ruined, you have Grim, and in second place, in the case the Ice Queens get revamped too you will have more options to try to get the Destroy. And it's cheap to get always in a party raid because it's easy that the people don't overprice.
Varlok -> Last one, he drops the best in game skill, and can be soloed. Really? How much MMORPG do you know that you can get the best in game item (excluding Girtas sword lol) and can be soloed?
I'm stopping to do the same as others, because I have some decency and I understand that if I camp like that I ruin the experience of the others. And what do you want a game full of campers? Do you want to go to beleth and see 10 AFK-Characters?
We got a point were even Ken&Cerenis are AFK-camped. It's normal that?
After Edit***: I don't like to write in the previous post as your response but just a thing: You can't AFK-Camp Cougar or KV, for 2 reasons, your character get killed if you move and mobs come and don't have a good set, but more important, you can't AFK-Camp in TOI because the Boss can Spawn in all the place making important do constant checks. So it will be best for you to stay and hunt around until the boss spawns.
And as I said I don't want to ruin to single player experience, I just want to make some-improvements to have a best game. And if it works then we can discuss if others needs a revamp too.

Yes all bosses are not equal but not equal not means all of them should be soloable. Not equal means some of then can be weak, some of them can be strong, some of them can be superstrong and few of them ultrastrong.
What we have now: Lots of weak bosses vs few ultrastrong bosses. Something sounds bad for me in this sentence.
You said: "Sorry man but this isn't about being fair. It's about advantages. If someone wants to camp a boss for 5 hours instead of something else, what it that to you? You could use that 5 hours to do something else and probably make more money than one person camping a boss."
I think you don't understand what they doing (or you understand pretty well because you are doing and you are not interested in changes).
In any case they not expend time camping. They just go put a camper and still playing his main character while you are just playing your main character.
As I said before I don't have problems if you decide to go with your main to Diamond Golem and stay there hunting or pvp'ing until the boss spawns. I have the problem, when you just put a character to control the boss.
There is a final solution: 5 minutes before the boss spawns a message in the general chat says: XXXX boss will spawn in 5 minutes.
Do you want that? No, because you can understand some of the funny part is go to check the boss and have the luck to find it and you probably don't want to have pvp every 10 minutes in all of the bosses.
But if you let be AFK campers is the same as have a message in the general chat that informs about the boss that will spawn but with one difference only the AFK-Camper get the profit.
Finally probably my suggestion about revamp not just the HP/HPR and revamp too MP/MPR was not the best idea, because if they get infinite mana they can spell like crazy. So I suggest just the HP/HPR as I suggested previously.
And we can test with just 1 or 2 bosses (Ice Demon/Ice Queen?) to see what happens a few weeks, and if people still killing them or see if campers go.

Well, you missed some.
Cougar/Knight Vlad....they drop Armor Break, best DE skill, probably one of the most dangerous and strongest skill in game. According to your logic and reasoning, i think that needs to be buffed as well...

After someone said me in Korea you need a party even to kill a Ifrit (I think he has exaggerated), I have been investigating what's happening in korea about the bosses, just to get more info.

Seems they have catalogued the bosses in 5 ranks:
In rank one you have the "easy bosses" with mambos with 25000 hp and level 78 or ifrits with level 87.
Info Rank 1 Bosses
As you can imagine bosses get stronger in Rank 2 Bosses
More strong in Rank 3 Bosses and a lot of strong in Rank 4 Bosses
Finally there are some undefined Undefined strong but seems they are different for other reasons.
So again I think we should have stronger bosses or at least have they more scalated. With this we can put some breaks to afk-camping and we can improve party experience game.
To Calvin:
This is not a fight about Varlok. (And have a level 60 to camp it's not very hard). It's a fight about AFK-Camping and a way to solve that, because people is afk-camping most of the bosses.

i still dont see the problem with watchers, these been around forever.
it's only a problem to people that don't have the resources (extra pc/vm) and time to camp bosses themselves.

simple. make varlok room lvl 60+ requirement and non teleable inside. you can kill their campers all day and make it worth something :)
