Hey Folks,

Its hard to find and test everything on the test server adequately. I am releasing the Antharas Raid update to live as a Beta Launch with 2 caveats! The first thing is that the debuff will last 6 days during the beta test. This is to ensure that if there are some issues, like the raid being 'too easy'.. then it can't be abused until its fixed. The second, is that during the raid beta test, there will be NO EXP LOSS. This is the best way to get the final details worked out. Nobody will be able to get a major advantage during this period of beta testing.

Please report any and all issues that you may experience.

 

Antharas Raid Dugneon:

• Dragons no longer spawn in Aden. Each one will be revamped and then be reachable through a Dragon Portal. Antharas is the first and the other dragons will be updated in upcoming content updates.
• The NPC Druga's Veil has been added in Weldern (33693, 32519). He sells Druga's Bag for 25 million adena. This bag can be opened 30 times and each character can only possess one at a time.
• Every 24 hours, you may open your Druga's Bag. You will either receive a Dragon Key or consumables. You may open the bag 30 times. The bag will remain in inventory until it has been used 30 times.
• A Dragon Key from Druga's Bag is needed to open the Dragon Portal to the Antharas Raid Dungeon. Only one key is needed to open the portal. Each person who enters does NOT need their own key. A group of people can pool resources to purchase the Druga's Bag since only one key is needed for the whole group.
• Once a key is obtained, it is only usable for 3 days. 
• A "Dragon Key For Sale" notification board has been added at 33691, 32521. Since the keys are only usable for 3 days, if you receive a key and would prefer to sell it rather than use it, you may post it on this message board.
• When you receive a key from Druga's Bag, you will get a system message asking if you would like to register it for sale. If you select Yes, it will automatically be posted on the message board. If you select No, you may register the key at a later time as long as you still have it and there is still time remaining to use it.
• The posting shows the character who has the key, the time is what registered, and how much time is left remaining on the key.You may delete the post yourself at any time. Once the key is used the post will be automatically deleted.
• To open a Dragon Portal to the Antharas Raid Dungeon, double-click on the Dragon Key. The key can be used anywhere except in a siege zone, safety zones or inside other instances.
• Up to 16 people can enter the Raid Dungeon at one time at attempt to defeat Antharas. The portal is open for 2 hours.There are two possible paths once inside.
• If you feel that you are ready to meet Antharas, you may go directly to his Lair, or through a series of mini-bosses to meet Cray for his buff.
• Whichever method you choose, when Antharas is defeated everyone in the lair receives a buff - Antharas Bloodstain (AC -2) - that lasts for 72 Hours. You cannot enter the Dragon Portal again for the 72 Hours that you have the Bloodstain. This buff cannot be canceled and does not disappear if you die.

 

Antharas Lair:

• All 16 users may enter together. Based on the first user that enters, users may only enter for 2 minutes (so be ready!).
• Do not move once inside the Lair until your ready to meet Antharas. Venturing into his lair will awaken him sooner than the 2 minutes, and prevent party members from joining.
•  Antharas will spawn 3 different times in 3 increasing in difficulty stages.
• When you kill the first one, there is a short rest period of 60 seconds, and then a stronger version spawns. Kill him a second time, there will be another rest period of 60 seconds, and then his 3rd final form appears.
• If you defeat him for the 3rd time, you have successfully defeated the Raid Dungeon. 
• If all players leave the Lair, the raid will reset and can be entered again.

 

Antharas - Visiting Cray:

• The alternative route through the raid dungeon is a series of rooms where players must defeat monsters and mini-bosses to progress.
• In taking this route, the group of 16 is split into two teams of 8 people and each group of 8 goes through their own series of rooms.
• When the first person enters, other players may only enter for 2 minutes.
• The groups then have 20 minutes to work through the 3 levels of rooms.
• Each level has a gatekeeper mini-boss that must be defeated to unlock the door to the next room.
• If you reach the end before the 20 minutes runs out, your reward is a buff that will assist you in defeating Antharas - +3 HP regen, +3 MP Regen, +100 HP, +50 MP, +1 Melee Damage, +1 Ranged Damage, +5 Melee Hit, +5 Ranged Hit, +30 Earth Resist, +60 Carry Bonus. Speak to Cray to get your buff.
• This buff is only used in the Raid Dungeon. When you move to another map, it is deactivated.
• There is a storage dwarf in the next area to retrieve more potions and a store to buy more from now if you need to.
• Once you have received your reward buff, your group must now meet Antharas in his 3 forms.

 

Antharas Reward Map:

• When Antharas is defeated, a reward map is opened - The Land of Hidden Dragons - near Weldern (33726, 32506).
• The Land of Hidden Dragons will be open for 24 hours after the time that Antharas is defeated. If this map is already open, and Antharas is defeated again, the 24-hour time frame does NOT change. The map will close after 24 hours, and Antharas will have to be defeated again while it is closed in order to re-open it.
• All players above level 30 may enter this reward map. At the end of 24 hours, everyone inside is automatically teleported out.
• This reward map focuses on high exp and there is a high spawn rate of monsters. The exp in the Land of Hidden Dragons is approximately 1.5 to 2 times greater than that of regular hunting grounds.
• This map also rewards players for hunting in groups. Groups of three of more with at least 3 different classes will receive bonus exp.
• This map is very large, and it is divided into many different areas. Each area has different kinds of monsters. Some areas are harder than others. As you explore this map, be careful when you change areas. The monsters in next area may be much more powerful than the ones in the area you just came from!
• This map is intended to accomodate a wide variety of play styles and levels. Some areas have monsters that you can solo at level 30, while other areas have monsters that can only be defeated by a group of level 65+ players.

New Pets / Hatchlings:

• New baby Dragon hatchling pets are now available. The male hatchling has a physical attack and the female hatchling has a magical attack.
• The hatchling eggs are obtained as a rare drop from the new Antharas Raid Dungeon.
• You can exchange the hatchling egg to Banku in Weldern (33729, 32506) for a pet necklace. Your baby dragon hatchling can then be evolved into a Dragon pet.

 

New Dragon Items:

• A new item, the Magical Eye of Antharas, is an inventory item that gives you a buff.
• You may re-use this item once every hour to receive the buff. The buff lasts for 10 minutes and cannot be canceled.
• The buff is 10% chance to dodge physical attack and +3 Petrification resistance.
• As each dragon is revamped, a new item will be added for each one with a different type of buff.
• To create a Magical Eye of Antharas, you will need a Sealed Magical Eye of Antharas. This is a drop from the Antharas Raid Dungeon. Take the sealed version to Shuerme in Weldern (33694, 32522) and she will unseal it for you. She also offers to combine Dragon Eyes together. This will only be available once other dragons have been revamped.
• A Sealed Magical Eye of Antharas can be traded. Once you have unsealed it, it can no longer be traded.
• You may only possess one Magical Eye of Antharas. If you receive another unsealed version, Shuerme will not unseal it for you if you already own an unsealed one.
• Note: Antharas drops an Eye of Antharas that is used in the Druga's Clan Heirloom Quest. He also drops a Sealed Magical Eye of Antharas that is used in the creation of this new dragon item. These two items have two different icons and different names, but they are similar so don't get them confused!
• New dragon armor is also available. The Heart of Antharas is a key item in the creation of this new armor. This is obtained as a drop from the Antharas Raid Dungeon.
• The following items are needed to craft the new armor: 3 Highest Quality Diamonds,1 Magical Armor of Antharas, 2 Heart of Antharas, and 50 Relic of Maphr.

 

 

 

So once Antharas is killed the reward map is opent ot all charcters level 30+ regardless of whether they have a key?

Correct. Just like live.

Elite Plate Mail gives -10 ac base not -6 based on the database

Whichever method you choose, when Antharas is defeated everyone in the lair receives a buff - Antharas Bloodstain (AC -2) - that lasts for 36 Hours. You cannot enter the Dragon Portal again for the 36 Hours that you have the Bloodstain. This buff cannot be canceled and does not disappear if you die.

Bloodstain also adds +50% water resist, helping people who don't know =) it was missed here.

Is it possible to leave test server up? It's very useful for testing various builds that are too expensive to test on live.

Test being down is a new thing.. its only been down for a few days while i finish the Xmas event. I refuse to leak any details of the events until its all posted to everyone at the same time to ensure everyone gets the same advantage and information. It will be back up full time soon.
